Next step in sight

Well, today had the meeting with the pastor from Colombo that the pastor in Batticaloa put in contact with me. Turns out that this pastor is the chairman so the other pastor is under him. He was the first name on my list but he had moved house. So my letter never got to him but we still got to meet!!!

They are a really nice couple and have had to live by faith ever since he because a Christian!! His father built the Hindu temple in the town that he grew up in and his brother was the keeper. But he became a born again believer when he was 17!!

It was a really good meeting, he and his wife came over all the way from Colombo, it took them about 5 hours to get here just to see me, and it's his only day off in the week....!!!

So I told them a the little I know of why I am here and that I don't really know anything, but they told me that they had the same situation when God told them to go to Australia, no contacts, no money..etc...

Then I said that I was interested in going East to see what it was like and I said that the pastor from the East was the only one who actually answered back so far....and they said that they are going to go East in a couple of weeks and that I am welcome to go with them!!!!
So I get to go East but this time with Christians, to meet with Christians!!!!! So this is pretty amazing!!

When I was in Mozambique and I told Heidi that I felt God telling me to go to Sri Lanka, she told me to get in contact with a man she met that was in the ministry and was a really good friend of hers and that God was doing a great work through him, and he had had a big impact on her life. So since then I have tried to find him, on the net, anywhere, but I just couldn't find him. So I thought I would ask this pastor, and so he said yes he knew him and that he was working for him for a while, and that he is in Colombo and so then he rang his friend and then he gave his number, and so tomorrow I shall ring him and hopefully go to the church that his son is now pastoring as he is quite old now!!!!! So that is great!!

There is the possibility of me moving to Colombo next...not for any definite amount of time, or purpose that i know of, it would just be a next step, and in this step there would be a lot of Christians!! So have to pray about that, but it would take me out of this tourist spot that I am in, and throw me into the real Sri Lanka, and also I would be living with a family, so that facilitates the culture integration, and learning the language, so...something to pray about...this wouldn't be for a couple of weeks and they even offered to come and pick me up as on the bus its pretty impossible!!!

When he left he knocked over a tree with the van!!! It fell right to the ground!! Malle didn't mind though, in the Tsunami it got pulled up and it had never got any roots,was held up with sticks...phew!!

So this seems like another door opening......
I spent all morning praying, and asking God to make it obvious what I should do, and I think that I'm quite certain that this is the next step....
