28th Jan....

Well, after talking with the principle the other day it seems like there are several families in the school that have lost the father of the family.... today was the 7th day of the death of Laxika's father, which means that it's like a little get together and people take food and things to the family...
Today I went to lawyer about the dual citizenship. Well seems like I won't be able to get a new adoption certificate because in 1990, the Mount Lavinia courthouse was burnt down...which means that there is no way of getting another one....which means that there is no way to prove anything...so...the lawyer is going to try and get in contact with the old lawyer who might have done the adoption process and see whether he remembers and can confirm the adoption....and also get a signed letter from the children's home where I was to prove that I was there too...this will take time as she will have to hire someone to do the tracking....but she was really helpful, and she is good friends with Pastor Manuel and her husband also is a pastor. I also contacted some friends in Galle who are going to try and get a letter to prove that I was in the orphanage, just as much info as possible!
Well I finally have the date for the 'opening' day of the youth group. It's on the 4th February....and will be in a hall so I have to find fun stuff to do in a hall and games for outside....should be fun, I have a Tamil translator and a Singhala, and it seems like I am responsible for everything....so...better get working!!!!!!!!
ps...unfortunatly as you can see...the rice and curry is making me slightly fatter!!! Oh dear!!
