hello from sri lanka

Well I'm here, settled into my guest house, and exploring the town, and found an internet place so shall up date a little!
Well, yesterday I must say that I slept quite a few hours and then i explored trying to find the beach...which I found and its amazing!!and to top it up there are no jelly fish!!
then i had dinner with my one contact and that was nice he will be showing me round his projects and friends once his car is fixed and that is on friday.so i have today free!

i did actually only get up at 1pm as at 4ammuch to y surprise i must say, the buddists were having their ceremony that consists of going through the streets with their statue and blowing on shrieky high wind instrumnts,shooting guns,and shouting!! that was a good culture bath i think!!
in the area where i am staying, the village is called Unawatuna, and they are mostly buddists there.
people are really quite friendly, they stare at you but then as soon as you smile they have a huge smile that is sincere, and it nice. i know they are trying to figure out who i am, coz i might look like them but i dont act or speak like it!!!

so there we are for now...the weather is so hot and humid but very bearable, and then cool in the eening. There are insects everywhere.... its terrible, and when it rains as it is doing no during the night, well they go in to find shelter and i am in a cabana in the garden, its a wooden hut kind of room with an ensuite bathroom ,but insects can comein and out as they please..
this is totally out of my comfort zone!!!
but i am just holding on to the fact that i am supposed to be here and so i must just be strong,take heart and wait on the lord
and be thankful that there is internet!!! oh and the beautiful sea!! oh there are lots of nice things here really!! just musnt let the spiders out way the good stuff....its so easy to do!!!!
